Taxodium Secrest

Common Name: Bald Cypress

Secrest Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum ‘Seacrest’) grows as a compact, flattened globe. Green needles can show a slight orange tint, with a stronger bronze-orange display developing before the foliage falls in autumn.

This selection originated in a witch’s-broom mutation and keeps a much smaller framework than ordinary bald cypress. Its broad, low shape is useful where a seasonal conifer accent is wanted without a tall tree.

Grow in full sun.
