Quercus robur x macrocarpa Heritage

Common Name: Heritage Oak

Heritage oak (Quercus x macdanielii 'Clemons') combines a broad, pyramidal crown with glossy dark green leaves. This English-oak and bur-oak hybrid is selected for cold tolerance and resistance to powdery mildew.

The canopy loses its leaves for winter. Autumn color includes yellow. Allow the natural framework to develop without crowding neighboring plants or paths.

Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Water during establishment and allow enough room for the developing crown.
