Quercus robur x 'Regal Prince'

Common Name: Regal Prince Columnar English Oak

Regal Prince Oak adds the presence of an oak tree with a tall, comparatively slender crown. Its outline ranges from columnar to narrowly oval, creating a clear vertical shape in the landscape.

Bright green leaves have a glossy surface through summer and turn yellow in autumn. The foliage is resistant to powdery mildew. This cultivar, named Long, combines English oak and swamp white oak parentage.

Use it as a vertical specimen or repeat it along a spacious approach. Although the crown stays narrower than that of many spreading oaks, it still needs substantial room at maturity; allow for an approximately eighteen-foot spread when planning its position.
