Ulmus carpinifolia 'Patriot'

Common Name: Patriot Elm

Patriot elm has stiffly ascending branches that form a comparatively narrow vase. Its notably dark green leaves give the canopy a bold texture, with yellow foliage appearing in autumn.

The canopy loses its leaves for winter. Autumn color includes yellow. The grower reports tolerance of Dutch elm disease and phloem necrosis.

Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Water during establishment and allow enough room for the developing crown.
