Zelkova serrata 'Musashino'

Common Name: Columnar Japanese Zelkova

Musashino zelkova keeps a narrow, upright vase shape with closely ascending branches. The relatively restricted crown width suits tighter tree-planting spaces, while green leaves turn yellow in autumn.

The canopy loses its leaves for winter. Autumn color includes yellow. Allow the natural framework to develop without crowding neighboring plants or paths.

Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Water during establishment and allow enough room for the developing crown.
